Garlic and Rosemary Crusted Prime Rib

A tender, juicy and flavorful rib roast perfect for impressing guests.
  • Rib Roast
  • Fresh Garlic Cloves (8-10 peeled whole & 3 cloves minced)
  • Fresh Rosemary (about ¼ C chopped)
  • 2-3 T Large Granule Sea Salt
  • 1-2 T Crushed Rainbow Peppercorn
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Place rib side down in a roasting pan
  3. Cut 8-10 slits in the roast and place a clove of garlic in each
  4. Mix the minced garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper
  5. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the roast
  6. Cook for 15 minutes
  7. Reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees
  8. Cook the remaining time (about 12-16 minutes per pound)
  9. When the internal temperature reaches about 130 degrees (for Medium Rare), remove from oven
  10. Let sit for 10 minutes before carving
